Lifeguard was awarded the exclusive 911 contract for Columbia County, Florida this past summer. The startup of Lifeguard in Columbia County began on June 28 at 8:00 a.m. et. Lifeguard-Columbia County has had many successes during its first three months in service. As part of its commitment and dedication to the citizens of Columbia County, Lifeguard continues to monitor and evaluate its ambulance deployment plan in order to provide the best coverage area. Recently, Lifeguard stationed an ambulance in Fort White. This is the first time the citizens of Fort White have ever had an ambulance permanently stationed in the town. Additionally, Lifeguard will add ambulances and team members as the needs arise for more coverage.
Continuing in the Lifeguard way, Lifeguard-Columbia County plays a very active role in its communities. This operation has participated in numerous events within the county in the last three months. Lifeguard has provided standby services for the high schools' home, football games, July 4th fireworks, a motocross event, and more. The team members of this operation have also participated in other local events, such as a food drive with the Boy Scouts of America.
