Lifeguard Ambulance Service of Tennessee, L.L.C. opened in Nashville in the spring of 2004. Starting with two ambulances, the operation soon added third and by the end of its first year Lifeguard had five ambulances in service. The Nashville operation currently has 20 units on the streets of Nashville and is providing services to the Nashville Metropolitan and Middle Tennessee areas. Our service areas include over 175 nursing home, dialysis clinics and hospitals, including the Hospital Corporation of America's (HCA) flagship Centennial Medical Center.

Lifeguard- Nashville is a dedicated medical transport company providing emergency and non-emergency ambulance transports to several communities in the Greater Nashville area, including Murpheesboro and Franklin. In January of 2011, Lifeguard began providing 911 Emergency Services to the citizens of the City of Spring Hill. We are also proudly partnered with the Alvin C. York Veteran’s System as their exclusive ambulance service provider.

Lifeguard- Nashville employs approximately 200 local EMTs, paramedics, supervisory management and administrative support staff, responding to approximately 20,000 transport calls a year. We feel our medical teams, paramedics and EMTs are the very best in the industry, and we maintain that excellence with continuing education and training programs. Our team members take great pride in and work hard to maintain the professional skill level needed to provide the communities they serve with the quality patient care and exemplary customer service Lifeguard demands.

Lifeguard features Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) transport services, equipping ALS units with 12 lead cardiac monitoring, Pulse Oximetry, 3 Chamber IV pumps, Portable Ventilators as required for patient care, CPAP and Stryker stretcher systems in a variety of configurations, including MX Pro Bariatric.  Lifeguard provides critical and non-critical care for non-emergency transport. 

Ambulance units are equipped specifically to met the needs of the patient. Some of the transport services we provide are:
•    Certified Wheel Chair Transport
•    Bariatric Care – stretcher capability up to 800lbs
•    Neo-natal & Pediatric equipped transports
•    Intra-aortic balloon pump and Pulmonary care support
•    Angioplasty to Emergency Coronary Artery Bypass Transport Services
•    Special Event standby support; sport games, corporate events, Municiple Celebrations and many others

In November 2012, Lifeguard-Nashville received the prestigious CAAS accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services.
