Lifeguard-Knoxville is becoming even more involved in the community. A few weeks ago, Fort Sanders Educational Development Center hosted a Transportation Day. All sorts of trucks, cars, tractors, and other forms of transportation were parked outside for the students to explore under the guidance of their teachers. Some of the modes of transportation on display included an ambulance, dump truck, concrete truck, tree cutter, sail boat, tractor, National Guard Hummer, news van, and many others. It was a fun and exciting day for these children. A Lifeguard crew provided ambulance tours for the students, so that they could climb inside and look around the unit.
Lifeguard also recently participated in an Easter celebration at Northhaven Healthcare. A local church donated gorgeous "church" hats for all the ladies to wear. With the aid of a few nurses, the ladies were also decked out with costume jewelry and lipstick. The residents were pushed or walked around the hallways in parade style for all to see and celebrate. Misty and Tina attended the event, and they were able to help get the residents ready for the parade and assist them during the parade. It was a beautiful day in Knoxville and many of the residents opted to go outside to the courtyard for a few minutes and soak up a little sunshine. The residents at Northhaven thoroughly enjoyed themselves, especially the ladies who got to play dressup for a little while.
