Lifeguard-Columbia County was one of several sponsors during the annual 4th of July celebration in Columbia County. The annual event is typically held in Downtown Lake City; however, this year, the festivities were moved to the fairgrounds. Thunderstorms and rain threatened the celebration, but the weather finally subsided and over 25,000 community members came out for the event.
Before the fireworks show, community members were invited to the fairgrounds for a day of family fun. There were numerous food vendors, children's activities, and even singers providing entertainment from the stage. Lifeguard-Columbia County had a table set up and distributed over 700 bottles of water during this hot summer day. Lifeguard offered the kids free coloring books from FEMA and allowed them to do explore the inside of an ambulance with the assistance of one of Lifeguard's team members.
We hope everyone had a safe Fourth of July!
